A client of Insight Global is looking for a CAD Designer to support the team who will be responsible for building and refining detailed 3D models and engineering drawings for mechanical systems such as tactical shelters, racks, and structural assemblies using tools like NX, Inventor, or SolidWorks. They collaborate closely with engineers to translate requirements into accurate designs, support design reviews, incorporate revisions, and ensure all drawings are precise, standardized, and ready for manufacturing within defense program constraints.

Required Skills & Experience
Must Haves
• 3 years of experience in the CAD field
• 3D Modeling experience working within mechanical/sheet metal/defense industry
• Being able to refine and modify designs for production needs
• Experience using 3D modeling CAD software's - SolidWorks/Autodesk Inventor/Siemens NX
• Experience collaborating with other engineers for designs
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Plusses
• Bachelors Degree in Designing or Engineering
• Experience within the Defense Industry
• Security Clearance
