Job Description

The Solutions Architect (Pricing and Cost Management) serves as a strategic solution architect responsible for translating complex business needs into scalable, modular, and high-performing system designs. This role partners closely with business leaders, process owners, product owners, and IT teams to deliver optimized solutions across pricing and supplier cost applications (e.g., Flintfox RMx and custom tools).
This position plays a critical role in shaping digital capabilities that support cost management and pricing processes across the enterprise.
Responsibilities

Configure pricing logic by mapping complex pricing models directly into application architecture
Define and align master data requirements and integrations to support pricing needs
Ensure system integration across ERP pricing matrices, CRM, CPQ, and e-commerce platforms for omnichannel consistency
Engage stakeholders to gather, document, and validate business requirements
Decompose business requirements into modular solution components
Conduct functional and technical analysis to evaluate solution options and recommend optimal approaches
Design scalable, integrated system architectures aligned with enterprise standards and objectives
Ensure solutions support end-to-end business processes
Present recommendations to leadership and guide decision-making
Collaborate with business and IT teams to ensure alignment across operational, technical, and strategic goals
Support product owners with backlog prioritization and roadmap planning
Maintain comprehensive documentation in accordance with IT standards
Assist with test script creation and data conversion strategies
Estimate technical effort required to deliver solutions

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field
Proven experience in enterprise applications and solution architecture
Hands-on experience implementing pricing solutions within an enterprise application framework
Familiarity with Flintfox or similar pricing solutions (Oracle, SAP)
Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear, actionable technical designs
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual thinking skills
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Ability to influence decision-making and drive alignment across teams

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience with Flintfox RMx specifically (vs. general pricing tools)
Background in distribution, supply chain, or logistics environments
Experience integrating with CPQ platforms (e.g., Salesforce CPQ, Oracle CPQ)
Exposure to eCommerce pricing / omnichannel pricing strategies
Familiarity with ERP platforms like Oracle EBS, Oracle Fusion, or SAP S/4HANA
Experience with master data governance tools (e.g., Informatica MDM, Profisee)
Knowledge of pricing optimization, rebates, or margin management workflows
Experience working in large-scale transformation or ERP modernization programs
Exposure to data migration, conversion, or legacy pricing system replacement
Understanding of financial impacts of pricing decisions (COGS, margin analysis)
Prior experience supporting Agile product teams (Scrum, backlog grooming, roadmap ownership)
Strong exposure to reporting/analytics tools (Power BI, SQL) for pricing insights
