Job Description
We are seeking a Microsoft Entra ID Engineer to support a large-scale identity and access implementation within a growing environment. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role responsible for standing up core identity workflows, security policies, and governance controls across a ~3,000-user tenant.
This opportunity offers exposure to a newly modernized tech stack with ongoing investments in AI capabilities, as well as long-term alignment to GxP and data-focused governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Implement foundational Entra ID workflows, policies, and configurations across the environment
• Build and deploy Conditional Access policies with a focus on low user disruption
• Configure and enforce MFA and secure authentication methods
• Stand up Azure governance frameworks, including Azure Policy, Resource Manager, and subscription guardrails
• Implement identity governance controls across users, applications, and access permissions
• Establish and manage guest (B2B) user workflows, including onboarding, offboarding, and access controls
• Execute against a defined backlog of requests to operationalize identity across ~3K users
• Support application and access governance initiatives in alignment with Zero Trust principles
• Perform light troubleshooting and support (~10%) related to identity and end-user access issues
Payrate: 70/hr

Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of hands-on Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) experience
• Strong experience with Conditional Access policy design and deployment
• Hands-on experience implementing MFA and identity security controls
• Experience with Azure Policy, Resource Manager, and governance frameworks
• Strong understanding of identity governance and access control models
• Experience operationalizing identity solutions at scale (1K+ users)
• Strong PowerShell scripting experience
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with KQL querying
• Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture and policy alignment
• Experience in environments undergoing modernization or transformation
• Exposure to GxP or regulated environments (pharma, healthcare, finance)
• Experience with broader GRC initiatives tied to data and identity
