Job Description

As a Dental Hygienist you will clean teeth and examine patient oral areas, head and neck for signs of oral disease. You will also record and review patient medical histories. Additional responsibilities and requirements of the Dental Hygienist include:
• Evaluates overall oral health, examining oral cavity for signs of periodontal disease or possible cancers, including sores, recessed & bleeding gums, and oral lesions
• Documents dental history or chief complaint; records and reports pertinent observations and patient reactions to dental staff.
• Following through with oral hygiene procedures in accordance with treatment plans prescribed by the Dentist. Procedures may include: Prophylaxis, Periodontal Scaling, Root Planning, Debridement, Application of Fluoride Treatments, Application of Protective Sealants, OraCare, and Perio Chip
• Prefer local anesthesia certified.

Compensation: $40-48/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience

• Valid Registered Dental Hygienist license
• Proficient in chairside assisting and patient care
• Strong understanding of dental terminology and medical records
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques and HIPAA regulations
• Familiarity with dental software such as Softdent
• Excellent time management and patient assessment skills
• Ability to perform pediatric dentistry
