A leading healthcare payor is seeking a Data Architect to design and drive enterprise-level data architecture across a modern Azure ecosystem.
This is a true architecture role—focused on data modeling, system design, and strategic data flow, not hands-on development. You will partner with engineering and business teams to build scalable, high-performance data solutions that support critical healthcare data initiatives.
What You’ll Do
Design end-to-end data architecture across enterprise data platforms
Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support analytics and reporting
Define data flow across Azure Databricks and medallion architecture (Bronze / Silver / Gold layers)
Translate business requirements into scalable, future-state data solutions
Partner with engineering teams to guide implementation (no hands-on coding required)
Ensure alignment across upstream and downstream systems for data consistency and performance
Support healthcare data initiatives involving member, provider, and claims data

Required Skills & Experience
·Strong Dimensional Modeling expertise
Star schema design, fact/dimension tables, complex modeling scenarios
Experience designing models in large enterprise environments
Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks ecosystem
Delta Lake / Lakehouse architecture
Medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers)
Experience working with multiple data sources (APIs, files, databases, or streaming data)
Ability to clearly explain real-world architecture decisions and tradeoffs
- Experience working with Member, Provider, Claims, or Pharmacy data strongly preferred
- Prior healthcare experience is acceptable even if not recent
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Familiarity with CMS, FHIR, or interoperability standards
Experience designing data solutions in hybrid or cloud environments
Exposure to data ingestion, ELT processes, and data pipelines (architectural level)
