Job Description
We are seeking a hands-on Automation Engineer to support robotic laboratory operations and automation workflows within a life sciences environment. This role will focus on maintaining, programming, and optimizing integrated robotic systems that replicate laboratory bench workflows at scale.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate and program automated laboratory systems, including robotic platforms and liquid handling instruments
• Support automation workflows, including assay development and execution in collaboration with scientific teams
• Troubleshoot and maintain:
o Robotic systems
o Liquid handlers
o Integrated lab instrumentation
• Assist with automation software configuration (e.g., workflow scheduling platforms such as Momentum or equivalent)
• Partner with IT and engineering teams to support system integration and custom automation solutions
• Participate in:
o Instrument validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ)
o Preventative maintenance coordination
o Vendor documentation review
• Maintain system ownership responsibilities, including:
o Access management
o Instrument lifecycle tracking
o Compliance adherence

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field
Robotic Experience
Hands-on experience with:
o Laboratory automation systems
o Liquid handling platforms
Experience working in a lab operations environment
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Exposure to instrument validation processes (IQ/OQ/PQ)
Experience with automation software platforms (e.g., Momentum or similar)
