Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Business Process Solutions Engineer – Intelligent Asset Management (IAM) for a top enterprise client. This role sits on the Asset Lifecycle Management team and works pre-sale with customers to understand how they operate and how IAM solutions fit into their environment. The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of process engineering, systems understanding, and customer-facing solutioning experience. This individual will lead discovery, analyze workflows and data systems, design managed service solutions, and help shape and scope deals from qualification through handoff to delivery. This is a highly consultative role supporting complex enterprise customers through transformation of their asset management and lifecycle processes.

Day-to-Day:
• Work pre-sale with customers to support IAM opportunities
• Partner with sellers to uncover, qualify, and shape Intelligent Asset Management deals
• Analyze customer current-state processes, data systems, and operational workflows
• Map current-state operations to future-state solutions using Wesco IAM offerings
• Lead structured customer discovery sessions at operational and executive levels
• Design IAM service solutions aligned to customer maturity and business outcomes
• Define scope for asset onboarding, portal configuration, dashboards, reporting, and system integrations (ERP, CMMS, ticketing)
• Build customer-specific proposals, scopes of work, and business cases
• Develop detailed SOWs outlining assumptions, milestones, deliverables, and service packages
• Support proof-of-value or pilot engagements as needed
• Shape and support deals through close partnership with sales
• Ensure smooth sales-to-delivery handoff with minimal rework
• Collaborate closely with delivery and project management teams to ensure successful execution

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience in enterprise solution consulting, presales, business process engineering, or solution design roles
• Strong process engineering mindset with the ability to break down workflows and identify inefficiencies
• Experience analyzing current-state processes, operational workflows, and data systems
• Strong systems and data understanding
• Comfortable working across ERP systems, spreadsheets, and SaaS platforms
• Understanding of how data flows between systems
• Proven customer-facing ability
• Confident communicator able to lead customer conversations and discovery sessions
• Comfortable working directly with clients in pre-sales environments
• Pre-sales and solutioning experience
• Ability to gather requirements and translate business needs into operational or technical solutions
• Experience working in complex, enterprise-level environments
• Ability to partner closely with sales to qualify, shape, and advance opportunities
• Experience designing and scoping managed services or lifecycle-based service solutions
• Experience developing Statements of Work (SOWs) for enterprise or managed service engagements
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills across sales, delivery, and project management teams

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Supply chain, distribution, or asset lifecycle management experience
• Consulting background
• Experience with Intelligent Asset Management or Asset Lifecycle Management solutions
• Experience with enterprise software ecosystems such as SAP or similar platforms
• Experience building ROI-driven business cases (TCO reduction, uptime improvement, compliance risk reduction)
• Familiarity with SaaS platforms and managed service delivery models
• Lean or process improvement experience
• Lean certification (Yellow Belt, Green Belt, or equivalent)
Industry experience in IT, Security, AV, Infrastructure, or IoT
