Job Description

A large annuities client of ours is seeking an Automation Quality Engineer to join their team. They are an application development team building and supporting complex, distributed, and data-intensive enterprise systems in a highly regulated domain. Quality, reliability, and speed of delivery are critical to our success. As they expand their use of automation and Generative AI–enabled capabilities, they need a Mid-Level Automation Engineer to help design, build, and maintain robust automated testing solutions.

In this role, you will work closely with software engineers, product owners to ensure high-quality releases across web applications, APIs, and services—including features that integrate AI/ML components.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for web applications and APIs using Python and Selenium WebDriver.
• Build, extend, and maintain test frameworks and utilities to support regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA engineers to define test strategies and automation coverage.
• Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Test AI and Gen AI–enabled features, including validation of behavior, edge cases, non-deterministic outputs, and guardrails.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and improve test reliability and execution speed.
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and partner with teams to resolve defects.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–6 years of experience in test automation or QA engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and Selenium WebDriver.
• Experience with Python test frameworks such as Pytest, unittest, or similar.
• Experience testing REST APIs and web user interfaces.
• Experience working in agile teams and CI/CD environments (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar).
• Strong understanding of software testing principles and quality best practices.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience testing AI or Gen AI–enabled applications or familiarity with prompt-based testing.
• Experience with cloud-hosted, containerized, or distributed systems.
• Experience working in regulated or data-intensive environments such as financial services.

Bonus Skills
• Experience with performance, load, or scalability testing.
• Exposure to security testing or automated security scans.
• Experience with test data management, mocks, or service virtualization.
• Familiarity with Git-based workflows and code reviews.
