Job Description
Our client is seeking a GIS Administrator / COTS Solution Specialist to serve as the primary technical owner for their ESRI-based GIS ecosystem. This role acts as the organization’s GIS architect, administrator, and problem-solver, responsible for building, maintaining, and supporting commercial off‑the‑shelf (COTS) ESRI solutions used across the agency.
This individual will provide hands-on implementation and administrative support for ESRI tools including Survey123, Field Maps, Dashboards, web maps, and ArcGIS Online, while also supporting backend workflows, data integrity, and system health. The role is ideal for someone who has built and administered GIS solutions, not just used them.

Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of experience developing, configuring, deploying, and maintaining ESRI COTS GIS solutions.
- ESRI Survey123 (implementation-level; building surveys for others)
- Survey123 Connect (Excel/XLSForm-based builds strongly preferred)
- Field Maps
- ArcGIS Dashboards
- ArcGIS Online administration
- Proven experience troubleshooting GIS applications, database connections, analytical tools, and data updates.
- Experience maintaining GIS web applications and story maps.
- Working knowledge of Python scripting (ability to read, maintain, and enhance existing scripts).
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Ticketing/helpdesk experience, including phone-based support
- Power Apps / Power Automate exposure
- Government or public-sector GIS experience
- GISP certification
- Experience with complex backend GIS workflows
