Mechanical and Robotics Engineering Manager

An employer sitting in Pottstown, PA is looking to hire an ONSITE Mechanical and Robotics Engineering Manager. This person will be responsible for leading a team of 12-14 individuals that are composed of (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Manufacturing related engineers). The team is mixed but the overall emphasis is on the Mechanical side and 50% manufacturing. This person will be specifically supporting a world-class underwater robotic system/ROV that has a long legacy but the team is always dedicated to the next generation, which involves NPI and continuous improvements of the product. He/she will be responsible for taking complex hardware from initial concept through design, integration, environmental testing (Vibration, Thermal, Pressure), and into high-rate production. He/she will practice their knowledge of Systems Engineering principles (requirements traceability, risk management, and interface control). This will be a full time role paying between ($139,371 - $197,400) depending on years of experience.

- 10+ years of experience in Engineering, Robotics, Mechanical/Systems/Manufacturing; Experienced leading a team of 10+ multi-disciplinary engineers
- Obtained Bachelor's Degree
- Experience with UAV/Underwater Robotics/Drones and/or applied Aerospace Engineering experience
- Demonstrated success taking complex hardware from initial concept through design, integration, environmental testing (Erosion, Water Pressure, Vibration, Thermal, Pressure), and into high-rate production.
- Experience with PDM/PLM

- Any applied underwater robotics engineering experience
