Sr. Cloud Engineer

A client of Insight Global's is looking for a Sr. Cloud Engineer to join there team. In this role, the individual will collaborate closely with the architect to review assigned tasks, propose design approaches, and then implement and execute the solution. Technical direction and IDS will come from the Chief Architect. For larger initiatives, the individual will engage with customers to understand their requirements, bring those insights to their Manager and the Architect. This person will help define the recommended solution approach before moving into implementation. Early on, the role will be primarily hands‑on, with the individual completing most development work themselves. Over time, as they establish a strong delivery pattern, they may begin delegating work to offshore teams. Consistent performance and demonstrated capability in translating design into execution will position them for growth into the next development level.

6+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer
Hands on AWS experience
Ability to leverage Terraform to spin up an AWS environment
IaC
Familiarity with IAM provisioning & ability to ensure the IAM is coming from IES model
Architecting and Design experience
Ensuring AWS is scalable when architecting solutions
Kubernetes expert
Security within AWS
Ability to lead how to keep the environment secure during design processes
IAM policy provisions, etc

OIC or Oracle Integrations Cloud experience
Openshift experience
