Job Description
This position for a Production Engineer is for the Surgeon Response Group (SRG), within the Research and Development (R&D) organization.
This Production Engineer position within the Surgeon Response Group (SRG) in the Research & Development (R&D) organization, based in West Chester, PA, is responsible for managing supply planning and scheduling for customized medical devices manufactured by external partners. The role involves converting demand requirements into actionable supply plans, sending engineering drawings and packages to suppliers for quotations, coordinating design revisions, and leading design transfer meetings. The Production Engineer will work closely with supply chain and manufacturing teams to track progress, open tickets, request vendor actions, and ensure biocompatibility evaluations and downstream processes are completed for product release. Additional responsibilities include coordinating with Product Development Engineers on purchasing and manufacturing strategies, using customized project management software to manage workflow, and engaging with approximately six key suppliers across multiple projects (up to 50 at a time) to ensure timely quotes, orders, and delivery.

Required Skills & Experience
3-5 years of experience in project management with familiarity of engineering practices
Background in manufacturing/quality
Able to look at drawings or receive questions from suppliers and communicate that with engineers
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong communication and organizational skills
