Job Description

Insight Global is seeking to hire a strong AV Installation Technician to support a government integrator in the DC area. This individual will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced audiovisual systems in a live environment. Customer sites range from raw construction environments, build outs, occupied government office spaces, live production events, etc. The customer will be a a military installment in PA, candidates must be comfortable traveling through the week. This role will be installing, configuring, and testing AV equipment including projectors, sound systems, video conferencing systems, and control systems. Some projects will require installing brand new systems, where others may require ripping out existing systems and installing new, modern infrastructure. We are looking for someone with experience in cabling, AV mounting, connectivity termination, understanding what is regulatory such as weights loads, heights, load capacities, etc. This role will also be responsible for set up, operation, and troubleshooting of AV equipment for live events and productions, including cameras, microphones, speakers, monitors, etc. Compliance is a very integral part of this role, where this individual must be able to adhere to government regulations and security protocols. Mileage for travel will be expensed for this role.

Required Skills & Experience

- 3+ years of AV install and integration experience
o Ability to read cabling pull schedules, schematics, line diagrams, floor plans, etc.
o Experience with government settings
- Strong knowledge of control/automation systems: Crestron, AMX, Extron
- Strong knowledge of audio DSPs: QSC, Biamp, Clearone, Symetrix
- Strong knowledge of video conferencing platforms: Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Cisco WebEx
- Proficiency in the installation of AV systems including: Vaddio, Shure, Aurora AV over IP, QSYS, and Poly Conferencing Systems
- Ability to travel out-of-state

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Industry certifications such as:
o Crestron, AMX, Extron, Biamp, QSC, Clearone, LifeSize, Polycom, Cisco, Infocomm/Avixa (AVT, CTS, CTS-I, CTS-D)
