A client of Insight Global is look to hire a full time Field Engineer in Pittsburgh/ Mount Pleasant PA. This Field Engineer is responsible for indirectly managing internal and external resources to support outage demands. In this role you will be Supervising the technicians (welders, fitters, and leads) in the execution of Piping and Auxiliary related work scopes across CT/s. Steam and Nuclear Power Plants.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Safety, Quality, and Schedule int hat order for the crew, work scope, and customer interactions
- Work with the back office Project Engineers with preplanning, document review, lessons learned, and tooling orders for the completion of onsite work scopes
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of power plant piping, valves, oil systems, and Auxiliary Capabilities

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
· 0-5+ years of experience - ideally in the field working on Outages/ generation services
· Open to field/travel based work then a transition to back office, Project Engineer based work
· Experience overseeing technicians and/or working with customers
· Experience providing modifications and upgrades to equipment
Basic Laptop/PC skills for expenses, travel, and time
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
· P&ID - ability to read and interpret drawings
· Worked at GE, Alstom, HMI --> any other competitors
· Field experience with Welding or in piping industry
Personal interest in fixing cars, dirt bikes, etc.
