Our Fortune 500 client in the Pittsburgh Area is seeking a talented Shopify Developer to join their Shopify ECommerce team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the clients customer facing Shopify website. This role collaborates closely with the business to translate business requirements from marketing, ERP, or finance into technical tasks.
Note: The client may soon be looking to migrating Shopify stores from Liquid-based templates to a headless architecture, including custom frontend development, which would fall in the responsibilities of this role.

Required Skills & Experience
• Hands-on experience with Shopify
○ Liquid Templating and theme customization.
○ Working with the Shopify Admin API (REST or GraphQL).
○ Understanding of Shopify plus features
• General knowledge of e-commerce operations (products, pricing, inventory, orders, discounts, fraud prevention) and how these integrate with backend systems.
○ Solid software development experience with the .NET Framework
○ Familiarity with cloud-based microservice architecture, ideally in Azure (Functions, Service Bus, Key Vault, App Services)
○ Comfort working with APIs (building, consuming, handling authentication, rate limits, and error handling).
○ Experience with data handling and automation (Excel/CSV parsing, scripts for deployment or sync tasks).
○ Ability to work in a modular, service oriented environment where systems communicate through APIs and queues.
○ Comfortable learning and adapting; able to pick up domain-specific details (ERP integration, pricing logic, etc.) on the job.
○ Strong documentation habits, with a willingness to contribute to internal wikis and process guides
○ Cross-functional collaboration: able to translate business requirements
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience starting up a Shopify ecommerce store start to finish
Experience migrating Shopify stores from Liquid-based templates to a headless architecture, including custom frontend development.
