Job Description
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Control Manager (QCM) to join our team for a complex, high-value project at the Philly Navy Yard. This role is crucial for ensuring that all construction activities meet the highest quality standards and comply with project specifications.
Pre-Installation Meetings:
Organize and run pre-installation and first inspection meetings to ensure subcontractors understand and adhere to project specifications.
Document Reviews:
Review construction drawings, elevations, floor plans, and other documents.
Submittal Management:
Oversee submittal reviews and ensure timely processing.
RFI Management:
Write and manage Requests for Information (RFIs) directed to Project Architects/Engineers.
Safety Oversight:
Ensure safety plans are submitted and followed, in collaboration with the on-site SSHO.
Meetings:
Conduct bi-weekly AOC/owners meetings to review outstanding RFIs, submittals, and look-ahead schedules.
Site Inspections:
Perform regular site inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Required Skills & Experience
Experience: NAVFAC-specific experience is required.
Skills:
Strong organizational skills for managing documentation, submittals, RFIs, inspections, and meetings.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Personable and able to build rapport with subcontractors while maintaining a firm stance on quality standards.
Physical Requirements: Ability to climb ladders, walk the job site, and work in various weather conditions.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Open to new ideas but understands the need for a prescriptive approach.
Comfortable working in both team settings and independently.
Organized and detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and safety.
