Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Java Engineer with expertise in Java/Spring development to create and maintain high-availability web services. Candidates must be local to any of the following cities: Blue Bell, PA, Irving, TX, or Boca Raton, FL,. The role involves working in environments hosted on Amazon AWS, utilizing modern CI/CD techniques, and participating in a migration to GCP. Key responsibilities include developing and deploying high-performance Java applications, coordinating project deliverables, and integrating various systems to meet new requirements. The engineer will also participate in program design, code reviews, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine business needs. Additionally, the role involves liaising with outside vendors and staying updated with industry trends.

Required Skills & Experience
• Four (4) year degree or equivalent experience
• Advanced knowledge of Java 17+
• Stong Spring Boot experience
• 6+ years’ experience with recent work in Java or other JVM languages.
• Knowledge of API architecture, design, scalability, and security
• Experience in developing and consuming web services
• Advanced knowledge designing and implementing secure internet-facing APIs
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases. Including but not limited to Oracle, MySQL, Postgres, AWS aurora, Spanner)
• Experience with GraphQL
• Experience with AWS (S3, Terraforms)
• Experience with Hibernate Framework to map java objects into a relational database.
• Experience with implementing and managing CI/CD solutions (Bitbucket, Harness, Jenkins)
• Experience with Containerization (Kubernetes, ECS)
• Experience in Cloud based hosting
• Strong understanding of disaster recovery planning and execution
• Exposure to Dynatrace, Apigee, Clojure
• Experience with CI process tools like Jira or Confluence
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with GCP
• Grasp of AI/ML concepts and practices
