Job Description

A Fortune 100 aviation leader is seeking an Ontology Data Modeler to help drive a high-impact data integration initiative in partnership with Palantir. This role centers on designing and building semantic data models within the Foundry platform to address the challenge of fragmented, siloed systemsparticularly across HR, logistics, and operations. By leveraging Foundrys powerful ontology framework, the goal is to unify disparate datasets, uncover hidden relationships, and generate actionable insights that support mission-critical decision-making. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in this transformation by applying deep expertise in ontology development, data analysis, and critical reasoning, while collaborating closely with domain experts to translate complex concepts into structured, interoperable data models that fuel operational efficiency and innovation.

Required Skills & Experience

· Bachelor's Degree in a technical field
· 5+ years of experience working in data modeling or ontology development
o Skilled in designing conceptual, logical, and physical data models to accurately represent data structures
o Proven track record in driving source systems, generating models, and supporting the business needs from a data perspective
o Ability to translate complex domain knowledge into formal data structures and relationships
· Experience with semantic modeling or data modeling in large data platforms
· Proficiency in SQL for querying, transforming, and modeling
· Familiarity with Python for custom data logic and integration with pipelines
· Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
· Excellent communication skills for working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

· Experience working in large-scale enterprise data environments; adaptability to new tools (e.g., Palantir Foundry, Protégé, etc.).
· Familiarity with semantic web standards such as RDF, OWL or SKOS
· Familiarity with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain or quality data domains
