Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of Database Administration to join our financial services client in the Greater Philadelphia Area. In this role, you will lead a dynamic team of 10 professionals, including DBAs, SQL developers, and an architect. Your responsibilities will encompass the full spectrum of people management, from recruitment to career development planning. Drawing on your strong management background, you will oversee budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness in database operations. Strategic planning is a key aspect, requiring your expertise in business continuity planning and a deep understanding of both on-premises (MS SQL) and cloud-based (AWS or Azure & Snowflake) environments. Your technical background as a former SQL Database Administrator is crucial, allowing you to provide hands-on expertise when needed and stay abreast of the latest technologies. The ideal candidate will possess effective communication skills, collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams, and commit to on-site presence in the office one day per week.

Required Skills & Experience

Management Experience -- Handling Budgets, Recruitment, 1on1 Professional Development, Strategy



Previous hands-on experience as a DBA/SQL Developer, overseeing and managing complex MS SQL environments.



Proficient in handling Cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure (AWS & Snowflake Data Warehouse are preferred)



Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
