Job Description
Insight Global seeks an experienced Lead Mobile Developer to join our Agile team. Team members will work remotely, with the caveat that they'll be expected to align with East Coast schedules.
The team will follow their adaptation of the Scrum framework in creating brand-new mobile apps targeted at B2B logistics customers. The apps will be created on top of a robust, modern infrastructure built in the Microsoft Azure cloud.
* As the "utility player" on the team, you will be comfortable contributing to app development on both the iOS and Android platforms
* Collaborate with team members, stakeholders to provide accurate estimations, timelines and risks associated with development
* Contributes to application design specifications (sequence and state-transition diagrams) and participate in architectural reviews
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features
* Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation
Required Skills & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience
* 5+ years' experience in Android and iOS development, with solid understanding of mobile application development processes, from the layout/user interface to backend systems and API integrations
* Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
* Experience leading a scrum team
* Experienced with Swift with working knowledge of Objective C
* Experienced with Kotlin with working knowledge of Java using Android Studio
* Experience with Android and iOS tools and ecosystem for development, automated testing, and debugging
* Previous experience working with Unit & Integration Testing
* Experience using code versioning tools (Git, etc.)
* Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
* Prior experience working within an Agile development methodology (Scrum, Kanban, XP, Lean, etc.)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
* Familiarity with Service Oriented Architecture
* Database design/query experience
* Experience with Firebase, Realm
