UX/UI Developer

Day to Day:

Insight Global is seeking a candidate for a large Pittsburgh based Higher Education client. This consultant will be joining and IT dedicated to health sciences school of a large college. This UX/UI Developer will be helping with an evaluation system for the Vice Chancellor of Health Sciences.



* Responsible for writing programs to maintain and control computer systems software for operating systems, networked systems, and database systems.

* Responsible for creating the software platform, and then fine-tuning the final program after it has been made. Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt it to new hardware or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance.

* Design and develop software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.

* Consult with engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, develop specifications and performance requirements and resolve customer problems.

* Advise customer about, or perform, maintenance of software system.

* Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures.

Must Haves:

* Bachelors degree (Graphic Design preferred)

* Mid level - 3-4 years professional experience

* Have a strong understanding of UI/UX, Usability and HCI principles

* Must have experience designing UI and developing the designs using front end technology like JavaScript, CSS, HTML, JQuery etc.

* Must have experience designing prototypes

* Expert proficiency with sketch and/or other design tools
