Job Description

A Fortune 100 client's Mission Accelerator program is currently looking for an DevOps Engineer to join the team. This position will focus on supporting the Global Services division's digital and analytics government and military business. The program oversees the strategy, processes, people, investments, and the development of a broad portfolio of digital and analytic tools sitting on common cloud-based platforms. These tools provide customers with a variety of capabilities to help them optimize their programs and maximize their mission success. Examples of capabilities include, but are not limited to, predictive maintenance solutions, supply chain optimization solutions utilizing advanced demand forecasting, real-time decision support models to optimize troubleshooting of complex systems. As part of the Mission Accelerator program, the technical development team applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, integrate, and deploy cutting-edge digital and analytics capabilities, tools, and processes for our customers. This team defines and controls the technical strategy, executes multiple complex statements of work, and coordinates with a variety of resources required over the life of the project. This team is defining the future of digital and analytics capabilities for our customers.

As part of this program, you'll work with a wide range of cutting-edge software technologies as well as the latest data science solutions. That includes internal development activities as well as partnering with other industry leaders to bring the best of breed solutions to Boeing's customers.



A successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and must be efficient in working both independently and across dynamic development organizations. The position will be responsible for designing architecture, data and information management systems, and components utilizing cloud stack technologies. The candidate must be able to communicate effectively with project managers, development teams, and customers. The candidate will engage frequently and work closely with the Mission Accelerator Chief Architect and Project Managers. The candidate will be responsible for supporting a variety of application capabilities with a direct impact on users and customers. The candidate will be responsible to incorporate architecture functions into the software development lifecycle, as well as, develop and maintain architecture views and models for the systems.

Required Skills & Experience

Must Haves

-5+ years of experience working with Private and/or Public clouds like AWS, Azure, GCP

-3+ years of experience working with containerization using technologies like Docker, Maven, Spring Boot, Helm, Ansible, and Terraform

-3+ years of experience designing CI/CD pipeline with tools such as Gitlab, Jenkins and Argo CD

-Strong familiarity with Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem (Spring Cloud Config Server and Spring Cloud Service Discovery/Eureka/Zuul)

-Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform and/or Puppet

-Strong communication and willingness to learn new skills and collaborate with a diverse technical team

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Experience deploying and maintaining applications in Kubernetes

-Familiarity working in an Agile environment (Kanban, Scrum, SAFe)

-Experience supporting production workloads and providing incident resolution

-Familiarity with Apache Zookeeper

-Experience with PostgreSQL

-Experience with Solr

-Familiarity with build tools such as Maven and Gradle.

-Keycloak (Authentication for offsite deploy)
