Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join our team in Hillsboro, OR. This role involves on-site technical support, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced semiconductor equipment across mechanical, electrical, and computer-controlled systems.

The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys solving complex problems, and is passionate about delivering exceptional service to customers. Candidates with experience supporting semiconductor manufacturing equipment are highly encouraged to apply. Experience working with Focused Ion Beam (FIB) systems is strongly preferred but not required. Individuals with experience supporting other semiconductor equipment platforms such as SEM, TEM, metrology, inspection, lithography, ion implantation, vacuum, or related systems will also be considered.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

*Provide field service support on advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment, including troubleshooting of electro-mechanical, vacuum, pneumatic, and software-controlled systems.
*Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues using schematics, manuals, diagnostic tools, and system documentation.
*Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve escalated issues and improve equipment performance.
*Document service activities, generate reports, and communicate findings to internal stakeholders and customers.
*Conduct preventative maintenance and system health checks to maximize equipment uptime.
*Travel to customer locations as needed to support installations, upgrades, maintenance, and emergency service requests.

Required Skills & Experience

*Experience as a Field Service Engineer, Equipment Technician, or similar technical support role.
*Hands-on experience working with semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
*Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.
*Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, electronic, and software-controlled systems.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

*Experience supporting Focused Ion Beam (FIB) systems is highly preferred.
*Familiarity with SEM, TEM, metrology, inspection, vacuum systems, ion beam systems, lithography, or related semiconductor technologies is a plus.
