Job Description

The Design Lab Technician will be responsible for power-on and debug of FNIC/IPUs by performing lab experiments. Work responsibilities include power-on, debugging, execution of tests in the lab, documentation, and lab maintenance.
• Perform execution of power-on plans, test sequences, and directed tests to ensure products operate and meet standards.
• Support electrical design engineers in testing and debug.
• Commissioning and qualification of equipment and equipment systems, maintains clean bench environment, equipment, and tools for hardware testing. Installs, uses, and updates hardware lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and function generators.
• Applies knowledge of industry standards and best practices to help drive automation and improvement of the process, tools, and methodology, and proliferates learning across sites.
• Collect, organize, and document test data and maintain documentation through the product lifecycle.
• Collaborates with Design, Verification, Validation, and Software and Tools teams for PCB and/or other hardware rework and troubleshooting problems.
• Identify, capture, and track issues by filing detailed JIRA bug reports.
• Support design engineers, including setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of test equipment and environments.
• Assist in debugging products and collaborating with engineering teams to resolve technical issues.

Required Skills & Experience

• Perform rework of BGA, SMT 0201 and leaded components
• Superior and reliable soldering skills to apply wire modifications on PCBs designs.
• Experience with oscilloscopes, probes , electrical measurements, and lab instrumentation
• Some experience with Linux/Ubuntu OS environments is a plus
• Must have clear written communications skills.
• Thrive in a dynamic environment that changes as new data becomes available.
• Proactive, detail-driven, and able to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Self-starter and able to drive tasks to closure.
