Job Description
Serve as a key contact for Cancer Institute scientists seeking EHR data and support for research purposes. Serve as subject matter expert on cancer EHR data. Lead project intakes, gather requirements and advise study designers on technical and regulatory matters. Generate data extracts and data models for IRB approved cancer research. Design and architect complex data marts for research repositories, longitudinal studies and precision medicine initiatives. Direct data engineers on research data and infrastructure requirements. Collaborate with data engineers to provide research infrastructure, and investigators to write grants, reports, and scientific publications.

Required Skills & Experience
• Certifications: Epic Clarity, Caboodle, Cogito
• 2+ years’ in cancer research (specifically Oncology)
• Expert knowledge of Cancer data in Epic EHR
• Expert knowledge of Epic Clarity and Caboodle data models
• Knowledge of HIPAA and HSR regulation
• Knowledge of electronic data capture (EDC), data ware housing, data quality, and NAACCR cancer reporting (North American Association of Central Cancer Registries)
• Expertise with SQL and T-SQL

Previous Academic medical facility experience
