Job Description
A client in the healthcare space is seeking a Senior PACS Administrator. This role serves as the senior technical lead for PACS and radiology IT, owning complex troubleshooting across imaging systems, integrations, and underlying infrastructure. The individual partners closely with enterprise IT teams on large-scale PACS modernization efforts, ensuring local workflows are accurately defined, optimized, and aligned with broader deployment standards. They work directly with clinical stakeholders to improve radiology workflows, step in to resolve escalated issues beyond vendor support, and provide ongoing mentorship to junior team members. Over time, this person will play a key role in driving multi-site convergence toward a centralized PACS model while likely stepping into a formal team lead position, with occasional onsite engagement in the Portland area to support teams and clinical partners.

Required Skills & Experience
• 5-7+ years PACS experience with strong technical depth
• Solid understanding of PACS architecture, DICOM, and HL7 workflows
• Experience troubleshooting across applications, network, and integrations (e.g., PowerScribe, Wireshark)
• Working knowledge of SQL/database concepts
• Ability to map and optimize radiology workflows
• Proven experience in large-scale PACS implementations or modernization efforts
• Ability to mentor junior team members and operate as a technical lead
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience in enterprise or multi-site healthcare environments
• Exposure to PACS consolidation / national model transitions
• Prior team lead or informal leadership experience
