Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Footwear Designer to support Jordan Energy Footwear. This role blends street, sport and fashion cultures and/or adjacent sub-cultures and communities. Jordan Energy greatly values a keen sense and deep understanding of the communities, worlds and spaces that embody originality, self-expression and a mindset of defiance. Platforming the rhythm, language, icons, and unsung heroes and their global influence, this role will inspire and challenge traditional convention in translating these points of connection into ideas and apparel concepts that honor the past, elevate the present, and ignite the future of sport and style.

This role blends performance and lifestyle design, requiring a strong understanding of footwear design, materials, construction, and innovation to create compelling, functional footwear across a variety of lifestyle and sports product types.

Key Responsibilities inclusive but not limited to:
• Design and lifestyle and performance footwear using practical insights and deep knowledge of construction, trims, and materials.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with design, materials, business, and category teams to ideate, present, develop, and problem-solve throughout the product lifecycle.
• Prepare presentations that communicate seasonal design narratives and concepts.
• Support teammates and contribute to a collaborative, creative environment.
• Partner with graphic design, technical design, development, sourcing, and product line management teams to bring products to life.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven track record in collaborations and partnerships is a plus.
• A cultural translator and creative diplomat; equally adept at working with celebrities, entertainers, artists, retailers, and brands, while protecting brand integrity and shaping work that feels authentic and real is a plus.
• A strategic creative designer who understands how design, culture, and commerce intersect.
• Naturally curious, well-connected, and deeply plugged into culture, from music and fashion to sport, art, and emerging creative communities, using insight (not trends) to inform decisions.
• Obsesses connection with consumers who thrive in cultural alchemy, taking risks that reflect the mindset of today’s youth, shift the industry and change the world.
• Showcasing an innovative mindset; the ability to think outside the box and drive new ideas from inception to reality.
• Partnering with external entities, collaborators, entertainment and key retail partner doors to bring to life is a plus
