Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Snowflake Developer to design, implement, and optimize dimensional data marts that support enterprise analytics and reporting. This role is critical to enabling scalable, high-performance data solutions across clinical, financial, and operational domains. This work will be supporting our client's data platform project which involves migrating legacy data migration from on prem SQL Server to Snowflake.

Required Skills & Experience
-4+ years with Snowflake development
-SQL Expertise: Advanced SQL for data manipulation, joins, window functions, CTEs, and performance.
-Snowflake Architecture Experience: Understanding of virtual warehouses, micro-partitioning, clustering keys, and query optimization.
Streams & Tasks: Implementing change data capture (CDC) and orchestration within Snowflake.
-Previous Dimensional Modeling experience: Proficiency in designing star and snowflake schemas, fact and dimension tables, slowly changing dimensions (SCD), and surrogate keys.
-Data Mart Design Principles: Knowledge of subject-oriented, integrated, time-variant, and non-volatile data structures.
-ETL/ELT Design: Understanding of data ingestion, transformation, and loading strategies tailored for Snowflake’s architecture.
-Data Profiling & Quality: Ensuring clean, consistent, and validated data for analytics.
-Performance Tuning: Monitoring query performance and optimizing warehouse usage.
-Metadata Management: Tracking lineage, definitions, and usage of data assets.
Version Control: Using Git or similar tools for managing code and schema changes.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-SnowPro Core Certification.
-Experience with AI/ML integration via Snowpark or external services.
-Previous healthcare insurance experience (strong plus)
-Databricks experience
