Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Copper Splicer to support a leading telecom construction company. This individual will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of copper cable systems, ensuring high-quality splicing and testing that meets both project and industry standards. Daily tasks will include performing pair identification, bonding, and grounding, as well as reading and interpreting splicing diagrams, schematics, and blueprints. The ideal candidate will be comfortable conducting testing and troubleshooting using tools such as TDRs and OTDRs, while ensuring compliance with safety standards and company procedures.

Required Skills & Experience

3+ years of experience as a Copper Splicer
Strong knowledge of copper cable types, color codes, and splicing techniques
Proficiency with splicing tools and test equipment (TDR and OTDR)
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Valid drivers license and clean driving record
DOT Medical Certificate (or ability to obtain prior to start date)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience in telecom construction environments
Experience with both copper and fiber splicing
