Job Description

The Work Authorization Forms (WAF) Coordinator is tasked with managing the work authorization process and overseeing the administration of Work Authorization Forms and Technical Work Documents (TWDs) for all repair activities during the ship's availability period.

Required Skills & Experience

Ensure that ship systems are safely tagged out before any work begins.
Verify that all tags are accurately completed and properly hung.
Conduct audits to ensure tags are correctly placed and have not been tampered with.
Log and enter tag-out information into the electronic database and binders for each ship with precision.
Act as the liaison between the ship's crew, subcontractors, and the production department to ensure 100% compliance with WAFs and tag-out procedures, aiming for zero violations.
Facilitate effective communication between Project Management, Subcontractors, Ship's crew, and the Production Department through meetings and correspondence.
Provide training on Tagout and WAF requirements.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

At least 5 years of progressive experience in the quality profession within a heavy manufacturing or shipyard environment is desired.
