Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Maintenance Planner for it's freight and cargo client to work at Portland Bulk Terminal beginning in early July, but with a desired start date before then in Vancouver, Washington. This individual will be responsible for planning and disseminating maintenance ops plans to two Operations Managers who will then ensure they are executed by the 10 union maintenance workers onsite. Additional responsibilities will include the following:

*Daily attendance of Maintenance pre-shift meeting
*Planning of approved work requests to secure information/materials needed to prepare work order for scheduling and safe completion in and out of shutdown context
*Responsible for securing outside resources and quotes for work requests. Meets with requestor to ensure understanding of work request and creates scope of work. *Contacts contractors to procure competitive bids as required
*Works with Maintenance Manager and Maintenance *Supervisor to ensure parts readiness for all uptime and downtime scheduled work orders
*Updates BOMs as necessary and routinely audit to maintain current systems
*Researches parts costs and order cost-effective, quality parts in compliance with all sourcing policies and procedures
*Works collaboratively with Maintenance Supervisor
*Creates and maintains maintenance plans and recurring task lists as directed by Maintenance Manager
*Attends meetings such as the Daily Planning meeting, and any applicable Downtime Planning meetings
*Assists with parts procurement when requested
*Performs maintenance tasks for emergency repair jobs. *Obtains emergency repair parts
*Participates in the Safety Program
*Must complete other duties and assignments as directed by the Maintenance Manager
*May be asked to cover shift to help support Terminal operations
*Creates new standard work while working on updating old standards

Required Skills & Experience

*High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
*Industrial maintenance knowledge and skill in troubleshooting motors, controls, drives, conveyors, hydraulics and pneumatics
*5 years of documentation experience in industrial equipment maintenance, OR vocational training plus 3 years of work experience in a heavy industrial environment
*CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) experience, IBM Maximo preferred
*Experience working with Reliability Centered Maintenance
*Thorough understanding of preventative versus reactive maintenance
*Must have experience in a union and contract-focused environment
*Soft Skills: Calm demeanor, ability to de-escalata
*Understanding of KPIs and metrics

*IBM Maximo (CMMS) experience -> Team is currently implementing this
