An insurance company is looking for a Remote Senior Director to join their Actuarial Transformation efforts, within Data Management and Workflow Analytics. This person will be leading the strategy to influence the Actuarial and IT teams to build upon their current relationship and deliver more effectively for the customer. This person is the connecting leader between the Actuary and IT data engineering teams. Preference to those who have worked as an Actuary or with Actuary teams, or have their certifications such as an ASA or FSA. Must have led strategic technical efforts and aligning with business function needs. Data modernization experience specifically with an emphasis in governance / controls / optimization. Must be a strategic leader who has proven ability to build partnerships across business and IT teams. The team sits in PST and works fully remote but travel onsite to Portland is occasional for leadership summits and team reviews.

- Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science / Data Science / Information Systems or related field
- 8+ years of experience supporting technical teams and/or transformation initiatives in the insurance industry or related industry
- Proven experience supporting data modernization efforts with an emphasis on governance, controls, and optimization
- Experience building partnerships across technical and business functions to deliver high level solutions for the customer
- Excellent leadership skills and ability to influence change while keeping risk management top of mind for the business and organization
