An insurance company in the PNW is looking for a Remote Director to support the Actuarial Data Management team. This person will be responsible for partnering with the Enterprise Data Analytics team to adopt cloud enterprise initiatives and drive alignment across the business side. Another portion of this role will be partnering with the AI vertical to improve the overall effectiveness for the actuary organization. A large portion of the transformation in this space is moving from legacy systems and data reporting to future state technology / platforms, and this role will be identifying future opportunities to do so and the most effective transition plan to modernize these systems. This person must come from an Actuarial background, with an ASA or FSA designation as well as worked in a leadership role to drive technical transformations and/or data modernization at an enterprise company. This company works PST hours and sits fully remote with on-site strategy sessions 1-4 times a year.

- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Data Science, Business, or IT. Or at least 8 years of related experience.
- ASA or FSA designation
- Experience with either leading an Actuarial Transformation or Data Modernization with risk or governance top of mind
- Experience with data or cloud computing tools, specifically exposure to Databricks, Azure Cloud, and/or AI Technology would be beneficial
- Strong leadership abilities, able to think big picture while driving technical changes within an organization
