A government entity in Portland OR is hiring a Front End Developer. The current government website hasnt been touched since its been set up and has no design or design system in place. This resource will work with designers and backend engineers to set up the front end from scratch. They will need knowledge is Frontend Development, Drupal, and design systems like storybook. This contractor will most likely spend 60% of their time with development and being heads down and the other 40% with collaboration, training junior developers in front end and documentation.

6+ years of experience in front end development in REACT, HTML, and JS. You need to be able to set up a system from scratch.
Must be proficient in Design Systems - either implementing or working in them.
Have experience in Storybook or similar tools (Pattern Lab). You will be supporting the stages between design and development.
Cross collaboration skills. You will be working with backend developers and designers.
Documentation and continuous integration experience
They have to be proficient in Drupal architecture and theming
Being familiar with Figma, as you will be working with designers
