Job Description

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

Were looking for a seasoned engineer with the skills to automate repeatable processes, develop integrated solutions, and help deliver a seamless data and reporting platform.

The candidate will have demonstrable experience coding and scripting using Python. Understand serverless architectures and continuous integration & deployment (CI/CD), plus GraphQL and RESTful API development. Understand infrastructure-as-code technologies (CloudFormation), source code management (GitHub) as it relates to the developer experience. Data skills (MySQL, SQL, queries, data analysis) are also required.

Our preferred candidate is a team-player and a self-starter with a passion for learning and growing. Attention to detail and the ability to communicate with a highly technical audience are desired qualifications.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON

You will be working on technical solutions that serve other engineering, data, or business-facing teams. Our technical solutions serve Nikes end-to-end business needs, streamlining the Nike developer experience to improve engineering productivity, delivery speed, and code quality. Working closely with product, internal customers, and leadership, you will identify data and reporting opportunities to help understand the developer experience and increase productivity. Key responsibilities include:

Data ingestion and manipulation in AWS.
Defining GraphQL APIs to expose data.
Providing visualization of developer data via Grafana.
Orchestrating automated tests to reduce manual effort and improve product quality.

Required Skills & Experience

WHAT YOU BRING
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or IT related discipline or any combination of equivalent relevant education, training, and experience.
3+ years of development experience using AWS.
5+ years of professional experience as a software engineer.
Comfortable working in Mac and Linux environments.
Proficient in programming using Python and Shell Scripting.
Experience in designing and consuming Rest and GraphQL APIs.
Experience in containerization using Docker.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

The following qualifications are preferred:
Experience with AWS Glue.
Experience with PySpark.
Experience working on data visualization with Grafana.
