A wireless sound technology organization in the Beaverton, OR is looking to bring on a IT Support Technician to support a multitude of projects and initiatives to improve the state of the company. This position will be 30-hours a week, with potential to convert to a full-time employee down the line. This company creates transmitters and receiver chips that go inside wireless speakers. Responsibilities include:
Backup and wipe hard drives in Server Room
Inventory and decommission laptops and towers in IT Cube
Configure and deploy newly purchased laptops and towers
Repurpose replaced laptops
Upgrade any Win7 that isn't getting replaced soon
Upgrade Office suite
Install new workstation backup software
Decommission old servers
Deploy BitLocker where needed
Inventory audit
End user support
Set up IT trouble ticket site
Deploy server anti-virus
Help with setting up new switches
2-3+ year of experience as a PC Technician/IT Support Tech/Desktop Support Tech/Helpdesk Analyst/ect.
1+ year of experience with troubleshooting hardware and IP troubleshooting
1+ year of experience using Active Directory; specifically for Group Policies
1+ year of experience working in a Linux environment for server set ups
