As the Principal Network Engineer/architect, you will be a integral part of the Global Network Team that handles anything Security related across the whole organization (Firewall management, Risk Audits, etc.). You will partner with various internal and external teams as well as be the subject matter expert to define the strategy and direction for products, standards, services and security capabilities to enhance the organizations security and mitigate associated security risks. This individual will act as a lead to teammates and be an individual contributor by implementing best practices in Network Security architecture. You will lead the design and development of technical solutions that have significant strategic, long-term impact on the business and achieve competitive advantage for the company, aligned with the strategic objectives of the organization and future architectural standards. You will have the opportunity to assess external sources and new emerging technologies to align with business needs, drive development of productive networks with stakeholders, internal business partners and vendors, as well as ensure technical support and problem resolution for stakeholder inquiries and production issue resolution meet the needs of the business and make changes to processes as needed.
Experience in using NetBrain, SolarWinds, Devo, Splunk or other analysis tools.
Experience designing and operating various FW platforms.
Ability to guide and influence stakeholders in complex initiatives (like Zero Trust, etc)
Knowledge of networking concepts such as TCP/IP and Internet routing
Experience in security risk analysis and assessment
* Experience in troubleshooting network issues and providing root cause analysis.
Ability to work with diverse stakeholders including highly technical teams, business owners, and executives.
Knowledge of technical product and systems development lifecycle within a large global enterprise environment
Knowledge of network threats such as DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) etc.
Ability to manage and balance business and technical requirements.
Experience in using APIs and other equipment configuration interfaces.
Good communication skills to clearly document security requirements and issues and explain complex technical issues to management.
Demonstrated understanding of security architecture as it relates to physical, virtual and cloud systems.
