The GPW Writer responsible for SNKRS is the storytelling conduit between the highest profile products from Nike and Jordan. Their copy fuels the app-based shopping experience of this marquee platform. They will collaborate with teams across the enterprise, including outside design partners to ensure that the best stories possible make it to the sneaker-obsessed community. They will be responsible for balancing the voice of SNKRS App with the voice of the various brands and franchises featured on the app.
R&R:
- Research product stories, which includes but is not limited to, interviewing designers, reading inspiration decks and collaborating with outside collaborations (eg. NOCTA).
- Write romance copy for every product in their seasonal SNKRS assortment.
This copy tells in-depth stories that is generally longer than a typical romance copy
- Work with their editor to refine copy and make it SNKRS-rights:
This includes updating copy based on editor notes and collaborating on revisions
- Update content based on strategy work and partner feedback.
- Product representation (represent tech, design, purpose, etc.)
Product storytelling (why was the product made? What problem does it solve for athletes?)
- 3+ years editing experience in a corporate setting, agency or e-commerce
- 3+ years writing experience in a corporate setting, agency or e-commerce.
- Experience working with high-heat lifestyle products.
- Must demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and ability to self-manage high volumes on short timelines.
- A talent for working with a team and communicating effectively.
- Absolutely must be naturally curious and a storyteller.
