Insight Global is looking for a Senior Copy Writer to support efforts within one of our largest retail clients headquartered in Beaverton, Oregon. You will be part of the North America Brand Creative team which is focused on the largest brand moments and seasonal campaign efforts for the North America region. Brand Creative drives the Art of Storytelling. The work is about telling powerful, meaningful stories across the entire brand ecosystem, leveraging all existing and new platforms to inspire, enable and engage athletes, while driving brand distinction and business impact. In this role, you will work across multiple channels, writing copy for creative concepts across Product Launches, Brand Stories, Retail Executions, short and long format content. You will write about Seasonal Stories/Products, key Sport Moments, Cultural Moments, stories about elite athletes on our roster as well as everyday people, stories that support and engage our communities of Purpose. Your copy will be read by millions of consumers and athletes, so it will align with the clients brand voice and seasonal directives. You will report directly into the Brand Narrative team, but you will also work day-to-day with a team of studio managers, producers, art directors, designers, and narrative experts to execute work. You will also work very closely with other teams across our marketing organization to ensure your copy answers the brief. For this, you will need to clearly communicate your ideas to various internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor of Arts in Writing, Communications, Journalism or a related field
- A minimum of 5 years' writing experience in a corporate or agency environment, preferably as a copywriter for a major retailer, e-commerce company or digital communications agency
- A minimum of 2 years' experience writing consumer-facing marketing content, including digital communications (website copy, emails, social media, etc.)
- Expert command of the English language (including spelling, grammar and punctuation) and British vernacular
- Strong digital acumen to help guide channel specific copy development
- Proven experience writing compelling and creative copy
- Ability to manage multiple and competing work priorities, demands and changes
- Proven experience collaborating effectively with multiple functions, both within and outside of the creative discipline
