Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Document Control Manager for a ransformative transportation infrastructure program focused on expanding network capacity, modernizing existing assets, and delivering critical capital projects across a large regional transit system. The program involves collaboration between industry-leading engineering and construction organizations and offers the opportunity to contribute to one of the largest infrastructure investments currently underway in Canada.
Key Responsibilities include the below:
· Design, implement, and enhance document control frameworks, processes, and systems to support effective project documentation management.
· Oversee and mentor the document control team, ensuring high standards of accuracy, consistency, and timeliness in all deliverables.
· Maintain document management standards, including versioning, distribution, filing, and archival procedures; Define them when required..
· Maintain the quality and integrity of all project documentation, such as drawings, technical specifications, contracts, permits, and correspondence.
· Work closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to streamline document workflows and ensure prompt reviews and approvals.
· Administer and optimize document control systems and tools to improve document tracking, accessibility, and retrieval.
· Monitor and enforce compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and internal policies governing document control.
· Provide guidance and training to project teams on document management practices and system usage.
Produce and analyze reports on document control performance, including progress updates, key metrics, and audit outcomes.

Required Skills & Experience
· Completion of a diploma in a related discipline or a combination of education, training, and experience in Document Management
· Minimum 8+ years of experience in computerized and/or manual document control management or related field, preferably in an engineering or related industry
· Experience in various electronic drawing file formats
· Advanced proficiency with applicable software applications in related field (MS Office, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat Professional, Aconex, Unifier, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)). Aconex proficiency would be an asset.
· Knowledge of project documentation and engineering terminology
· Previous experience on construction projects is a plus
· Strong written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage various stakeholders, from client to subcontractors, and internally from team members, contributing teams, management, and leadership
Demonstrated ability for people management and team effectiveness.
