Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a driven and strategic Business Development Representative to support one of our high-growth Toronto based SaaS clients, as they expand their mid-market sales motion. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a quality-over-quantity outbound environment, focused on building meaningful relationships with senior decision-makers across multi-location brands in industries such as restaurants, retail, health & beauty, and fitness.
You will play a critical role in generating pipeline by leading thoughtful, personalized outreach and uncovering key business challenges related to customer engagement, retention, and revenue growth. This is full time, hybrid opportunity with the requirement to work 2 days on site in North York.
Key Responsibilities
• Own top-of-funnel pipeline generation through strategic outbound prospecting into mid-market accounts (30-50+ locations)
• Conduct in-depth account research to personalize outreach and align messaging to business needs
• Engage senior stakeholders (Owners, Founders, CMOs, Operations Leaders) in value-driven conversations
• Lead discovery conversations to identify pain points around customer engagement, retention, and growth
• Schedule and qualify high-quality discovery meetings for Account Executives with strong context for handoff
• Maintain accurate CRM records, including activity tracking, pipeline management, and reporting
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Leadership to refine messaging, targeting, and go-to-market strategy
• Continuously optimize outbound strategies by testing messaging, sequences, and vertical approaches

Required Skills & Experience
• 1–3+ years of experience in a BDR, SDR, or outbound sales role
• Experience selling SaaS, Martech, Fintech, or Retail/Restaurant Technology solutions
• Familiarity with CRM platforms and outbound sales tools
• Proven success in pipeline generation and quota attainment
• Strong communication skills with the ability to personalize outreach and messaging
• Confident engaging with senior-level decision-makers
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple accounts and outreach cycles
• Metrics-driven mindset with strong ownership and accountability
• Coachable, resilient, and motivated to grow within a sales organization
