Insight Global is seeking an Onsite Support Engineer for a leading energy client in the nuclear industry. This individual will be a key contributor on a new plant project, providing critical engineering support on-site while bridging communication between construction, fabrication, and design teams. The role requires a strong technical leader who can oversee complex construction activities, ensure compliance with stringent nuclear safety standards, and proactively resolve challenges as they arise. Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
• 8+ years of experience in the energy industry (nuclear or similar technical environment)
• 2+ years’ experience supporting nuclear power plant construction and/or plant modifications
• Familiarity with Field Change Notices (FCNs) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
• Hands-on experience coordinating between design, fabrication, and construction teams
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, safety standards, and quality requirements in nuclear or heavy industrial environments
• Experience working directly with customers, regulators, and suppliers
• Ability to manage and resolve technical issues across multi-disciplinary teams
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Prior experience specifically supporting BWR (Boiling Water Reactor) product lines
• Experience with process/procedure approvals and material disposition workflows
• Background working with large EPC projects or major infrastructure builds
• Strong documentation/reporting experience for engineering dispositions
