Job Description
Insight Global is looking for an Accountant to join the Commercial and Corporate Controllership team at a major bank! The incumbent will be accountable for the integrity of the financial and management information used for reporting and business analysis. The role requires accountability for the data integrity of the general ledger, investigating and reporting discrepancies, overseeing the completion of the month-end reconciliation process, and supporting the team with ad-hoc requirements and project initiatives. In addition, the team is responsible for closing the GL each month and contributing to month-end activities, including journal entries, financial analysis, and other accounting activities as required.

Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of accounting experience within financial service institutions (Big 4, smaller financial services companies, major banks)
- Proficient in Excel (formulas, VBA, Macros)
- Experience with reconciliations, month end, journal entries, quarter end, year end
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with Capital Markets product (lending products, terms and conditions, interests, and fees)
• Experience SAP or Oracle
• Current accreditation CPA or equivalent with strong knowledge of IFRS accounting standards preferred
• ACBS (advanced commercial banking system) knowledge
