Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a an experienced GIS Test Lead to support a major GIS program within a large utilities environment. This role will lead end-to-end testing activities for GIS systems and their integrations with other enterprise platforms
Lead the overall GIS testing strategy, planning, and execution across multiple project phases
Develop and manage test plans, test cases, test scripts, and traceability matrices
Oversee functional, system integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
Validate GIS data quality, network models, and spatial accuracy
Coordinate testing for integrations between GIS and utility systems such as OMS, ADMS, EAM, CIS, and mobile workforce solutions
Work closely with business SMEs, GIS analysts, developers, and vendors to define test scenarios and expected outcomes
Lead defect triage, root cause analysis, and resolution tracking

Required Skills & Experience
7+ years of experience in software/system testing
Hands-on experience testing GIS platforms (e.g., Esri OR ArcGIS, OR ArcFM, OR Smallworld, or similar)
Experience with system integrations involving GIS and enterprise applications
Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., JIRA, OR Azure DevOps, OR HP ALM, OR TestRail)
Strong knowledge of SDLC and QA methodologies, including Agile and hybrid delivery models
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience working in the utilities industry (electric, gas, or water)
Strong understanding of utility network models (distribution, transmission, or asset networks)
