Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Payroll Tax Manager to join one of our large HCM clients, supporting payroll tax and statutory compliance across LATAM jurisdictions. This role will lead the LATAM payroll tax and compliance function, managing and supporting a team of seasoned compliance professionals while driving modernization, efficiency, and collaboration.
You will play a key role in advancing AI‑driven compliance, automation strategies, and intelligent tax solutions, partnering closely with Product and Engineering teams to ensure payroll products remain compliant. This is a strategic leadership position operating at the intersection of tax law, technology, and product innovation within a global environment.
Key Responsibilities include:

Monitor payroll tax, statutory, and regulatory changes and assess impact to payroll products
Translate legislative and compliance updates into clear, actionable requirements for Product and Engineering teams
Act as a key liaison between Compliance and Product teams, building trusted partnerships and ensuring timely implementation
Drive process improvements, automation, and use of AI and tooling to reduce manual effort and improve consistency
Step into day‑to‑day team activities as needed (coverage, onboarding, process improvement initiatives)

Required Skills & Experience

Fluent in English and Spanish (written and verbal)
5+ years of experience in payroll tax, statutory compliance, or related HCM/payroll environments
Proven people leadership experience managing senior SMEs
Strong experience working closely with Product or Technology teams
Strong understanding of how AI can be applied to compliance, regulatory monitoring, and payroll operations
Familiarity with digital transformation initiatives
Comfortable in a software‑driven, fast‑changing environment
Strong communicator with a collaborative, relationship‑building style

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Payroll domain expertise, especially LATAM or Mexico
Experience in SaaS, payroll platforms, or HR technology
Exposure to automation, AI tools, or regulatory monitoring solutions
Process‑improvement or change‑management mindset
