Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Claims Examiner to join our clients Operations Claims team.

In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing, evaluating, and adjudicating insurance claims while ensuring accuracy, compliance with policy terms, and timely resolution.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates confidently with customers and partners, and aims to resolve claims at the first point of contact whenever possible.

Key Responsibilities
Review and process a variety of insurance claims to ensure accurate payment in accordance with policy terms and service-level timelines
Analyze claims using internal systems and policy documentation to make sound adjudication decisions
Accurately document claim reviews, decisions, and activity in company databases
Initiate stop-payment requests and reissue payments as needed
Conduct outbound calls to clients or service providers to obtain missing or additional information
Respond to inbound calls and emails related to claims status, inquiries, and escalations
Draft and send professional correspondence to clients, providers, and internal stakeholders
Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve escalated issues efficiently and professionally
Maintain claim reserves in alignment with internal guidelines
Operate effectively in an AI-enabled environment, leveraging machine learning, analytics, and cloud-based tools while adhering to data governance, security, and ethical standards

Required Skills & Experience

Post-secondary education
6–12 months of experience in a claims processing, insurance, or administrative role
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Sound judgment and confident decision-making skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

French speaking
