Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Backup Operations & Automation Specialist to join a large enterprise organization supporting critical backup, recovery, and automation services across cloud (Azure environment) and on‑prem environments. This role sits within a centralized infrastructure operations function responsible for ensuring the stability, recoverability, and continuous improvement of enterprise backup and disaster recovery platforms.
The successful candidate will operate across Level 1 operational support and Level 2/3 advanced troubleshooting and automation, ensuring reliable day‑to‑day backup operations while driving efficiency through modern DevOps and infrastructure‑as‑code practices. This position works closely with infrastructure, platform, and reliability teams to support production environments and embed automation into standard operational workflows.

Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience developing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- 2+ years of experience building and operating Azure DevOps pipelines within infrastructure environments
- 3+ years of experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines from scratch, not limited to maintaining existing pipelines
- Strong operational knowledge of Commvault as this is the key tool within Disaster Recovery
Familiarity with Copilot or other similar AI-assisted tools for automation and operational efficiency (1+ year)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience to a regulated or audit-driven IT environment
