Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Senior IT Project Manager to support a large Cloud program at a major Canadian financial institution. Day to day, this person will lead delivery of complex on‑premises to Microsoft Azure migrations, coordinating across cloud engineering, infrastructure, security, network, and application teams. The role focuses on managing end‑to‑end project plans, dependencies, risks, and timelines while ensuring alignment with Azure standards, security controls, and regulatory requirements. This PM will drive governance routines such as status reporting and steering committee updates, manage multiple workstreams using Agile and waterfall methods, and support stakeholders across a high‑visibility, multi‑year enterprise transformation.
The successful candidate will be comfortable with 1 day on site a week.

Required Skills & Experience
8+ years of IT project management experience, ideally within a large enterprise or financial institution
Hands-on experience managing on-prem to Azure cloud migration projects
Strong understanding of Azure cloud infrastructure including IaaS, PaaS, PaaS, VNets, ExpressRoute, Azure Policy, Azure Landing Zones, and hybrid connectivity
• Secondary cloud exposure to AWS and GCP is a nice to have
Experience with Azure migration tooling such as Azure Migrate, Azure Site Recovery, and the Cloud Adoption Framework
Familiarity with identity and access management in Azure including Entra ID, RBAC, and conditional access policies
Ability to manage multiple workstreams, stakeholders, and delivery timelines simultaneously
Experience working with Agile and waterfall delivery methodologies in a large enterprise context
Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project, ServiceNow, and Confluence
Experience producing and maintaining governance documentation including project charters, RAID logs, steering committee decks, and status reports
Experience in a regulated industry, banking or financial services
PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, or equivalent certification
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Azure certifications such as AZ-900, AZ-104, or AZ-305
Exposure to FinOps practices and cloud cost governance
Background supporting large, multi-year enterprise transformation programs in financial services
Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or Bicep
