Product Owner

Insight Global is hiring a Product Owner to take ownership of a product platform for a cognitive AI client. Their cognitive AI platform is responsible for deploying computer vision systems safely in aviation and other safety critical environments.
This product helps teams understand how vision models see data, why they fail, why they succeed, and - critically - how much to trust each prediction at runtime once models are deployed. The platform supports both development-time analysis and production-time runtime monitoring, enabling safer AI deployment in regulated aviation contexts.
This role is ideal for someone who is technically strong in computer vision and explainable AI, and who can clearly translate AI capabilities into real customer value for civil and defense aviation use cases.

Key Responsibilities
• Own and manage the product backlog for the product
• Translate customer needs and market requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Work closely with engineering and data science teams to deliver cognitive AI and runtime monitoring features.
• Develop a strong understanding of aviation computer vision use cases, including both civil and defense applications.
• Engage directly with customers to understand how and why vision models fail in real-world deployments.
• Clearly communicate the products value proposition to customers, sales, and internal stakeholders.
• Support demos, technical discussions, and customer-facing product explanations.

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role in a technical software product.
• Strong understanding of computer vision and machine learning concepts.
• Strong understanding of computer vision use-cases in aviation: civil and defense.
• Ability to reason about model behavior, failure modes, ambiguity, and trust—not just accuracy metrics.
• Experience working with or selling into aviation, aerospace, defense, or other safety-critical industries.
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience deploying AI or vision systems into production environments.
• Familiarity with runtime monitoring, anomaly detection, or AI assurance concepts.
• Exposure to aviation certification, regulatory frameworks, or safety assurance.
• Experience with defense or dual use technology programs.
