Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a CIAM Product Owner to join a leading courier and logistics customer in Mississauga.

Our customer is standing up a new Customer Identity & Access Management (CIAM) platform using Okta Identity Engine, and this role will lead it end-to-end—from feasibility and vendor selection through delivery and launch.
This is a true build-from-scratch opportunity. There is no existing CIAM platform or delivery team in place. You’ll be the foundational Product Owner, shaping the technical approach, selecting an implementation partner, and driving delivery of a shared identity platform that will support major customer-facing applications.

Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive the CIAM product vision and early roadmap in a greenfield environment.
- Lead requirements gathering and translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements for CIAM.
- Serve as the primary Okta/CIAM subject matter lead, guiding solution direction and best practices for customer identity use cases.
- Partner in an RFP/vendor selection process:
- Build and document requirements and evaluation criteria.
- Support technical evaluation of vendor responses (with internal leadership support for contracting/MSA negotiations).
- Provide delivery oversight for implementation performed by an external partner (hands-off build expected):
- Coordinate delivery status updates, risks/issues, and dependencies.
- Support testing/validation and ensure requirements are met.
- Track high-level budget considerations and vendor performance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with:
- Security leadership
- Application/product leads
- Architecture
- UX
- Procurement
- External vendors/partners
- Help define the operating model and foundational capability to support onboarding the first applications and scaling across additional apps over time.

Required Skills & Experience

- Strong hands-on experience delivering Okta initiatives (Okta platform experience is required).
- CIAM experience (customer identity and access management), including customer-facing identity flows and associated technical considerations.
- Proven ability to lead requirements definition end-to-end (business + technical) and guide stakeholders to alignment.
- Technical aptitude to understand identity architecture concepts and validate partner-delivered solutions.
- Experience working in ambiguous/early-stage environments and building structure from scratch.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experience participating in vendor evaluations and/or RFP processes (especially for IAM/CIAM platforms).
- Light project management capability (status reporting, governance, coordination).
- Experience partnering closely with security teams and application delivery teams.
- Experience with UX/customer onboarding journeys in identity contexts (registration, login, MFA, profile management, etc.).
